Hello everyone!





As a prelude to its specialty and all-breed shows, the Philippine
Pomeranian Club (PPC) plans to hold a seminar on pomeranian show
grooming and handling. Venue will be on the PCCI Activity Center in
Marikina. Venue will be free of charge because PPC is an affiliate club
and its members are PCCI members. Seminar is expected to be a half-day
event with Basilio Yap and Tino Farro as resource persons for grooming
and handling respectively. Seminar date is July 27, 9-12 am, a month
before the planned specialty show on Aug 30 and all-breed show in Aug
31. Seminar will be free.





The officers of the club strongly encourage pomeranian fanciers to
try showing their dogs. While we know that breed competition will be
stiff, we do see the specialty show to be a chance for others to try
showing their poms under the owner-handled class, novice class or the
regular classes. To help them prepare for this undertaking, the above
seminar was envisioned.





To be a seminar participant, you have to meet the following:





- owner of a purebred pomeranian with enough coat that can benefit from trimming and a


temperament suitable to training. Owner must be willing to bring along the dog for hands-on


demonstration and to enter the dog in any of the classes in the PPC specialty/all-breed shows.





- Other pom fanciers without or unable to bring a suitable dog may still attend, but experience is


maximized if you bring your dog.





The next seminar envisioned is pomeranian breeding and will be open
to all pom enthusiasts. Target date is after the specialty show on Aug
30.
