I begin to suspect that there is something very wrong with my dog and that something is his vet.
Today Angus turned 5 months old. Nearly one month after his full recovery from the undiagnosed illness that left him near death. DH and I took Angus for his third round of deworming today - his first since we got him, hence the first administered by his current vet as well. All is well until 5 hours later when he starts hacking and gagging, and wheezing and vomiting. He spewed out chunks and chunks of something of an unnamed origin, and when he was done, he spewed out even more. I called the vet in panic, what if this is a relapse of whatever that ailed him before? What if it's allergy towards the dewormer tablets used? What can I do? She said, don't feed him water or food for 12 hours and it can't be the pill cos all other dogs dewormed by them have never vomited on it before. Helpful little thing ain't she? So, tomorrow we will try again, no more Drontal for Gus Gus. We're giving Plozin a try and this time DH and I will administer it ourselves. I don't know how much more we can collectively take. Angus doesn't walk without shoes at home anymore and the only way he can get around outside is through his stroller. He is fed only his dog food (science diet) and that's strictly regulated as well. He's gotten all his shots (and more due to his ills!) and the house had been Angus-proofed so that he cannot possibly ingest anything harmful to him. What more can we do? We're running out of solutions already.
